बोधकथा
एकदा एक माशी मुंगीसमोर फुशारक्या मारत होती.
“मला जे वाटेल ते मी खायला जाते. वाटेल तिथे जाऊन बसते. देवाचा नैवेद्य मी देवाला दाखवण्याआधी चाखुन येऊ शकते. राजाच्या डोक्यावर जाऊन बसु शकते. कोणालाही मला काही करता येत नाही.”
मुंगीने हे ऐकुन घेतलं आणि म्हणाली.
“अशा वाटेल तिथे मिळेल ते जाऊन खाण्यात कसला आलाय मोठेपणा? जशी तू अन्नावर जाऊन बसतेस तशी रस्त्यावर शेणात सुद्धा जाऊन बसतेस. त्यापेक्षा आमच्यासारखी मेहनत करून सगळ्यांनी मिळुन अन्न शोधणे, वारुळे बनवणे, त्यात अन्न जपुन ठेवणे कधीही चांगले.”
एकमेकांची मदत करत कष्टाची भाकरी मिळवणे नेहमीच चांगले असते.
Moral story
Once a fly was boasting to an ant.
“I eat whatever I want. Goes and sits wherever he wants. God's offering can be tasted before I show it to God. Can sit on the king's head. No one can do anything to me.”
The ant heard this and said.
“What kind of magnanimity is there in going and eating whatever you think you can get? Just as you sit on food, you also sit on dung on the road. It is always better to work hard like us to find food together, make own home and preserve food in it.”
